Why Should I Join the PTO?

The Next Generation Steam Academy – PTO offers an invaluable link between students, school staff, teachers and families, but without you and your support it would not be possible for the PTO to sponsor events and provide much needed contributions to our school.

Why Join the NGSA PTO?

  • PTO offers parents the opportunity to make positive changes in the school.
  • PTO distributes information on a regular basis via newsletters, e-mails so that members can be informed of and responds to school issues and activities in a timely manner.
  • Joining the PTO shows an interest in your child's education, school activities, shows greater support for his/her teachers and helps to strengthen the relationship between parents and school personnel.
  • Kids are proud of their involved parents, you can meet other parents, share your skills, show that you care, your voice can be heard, and have fun while making a difference.
  • And finally, the number one reason to join us …. We can’t do it without you!

How Involved Do I Have To Be?

You can be as involved as you want to be.

We understand that people have very busy schedules and that time is precious. Therefore we appreciate any time you can spare. Volunteers are always needed to chair committees and work events but if you can’t find the time, we just appreciate your membership. We only ask that you join, and receive email updates.

What does the NGSA-PTO actually do?

With your help and membership, the PTO has so many great ideas for this year, here are just a few:

  • Educational Assemblies
  • Field Trips
  • Family Fun Nights (movies, bingo, etc)
  • Book Fair and Books
  • Holiday Shop
  • Spring Fair
  • Teacher & Staff Appreciation Days
  • Ice cream, pretzel & pizza parties
  • And much, much more

Remember that the PTO helps our kids and improves our school. With your support, the PTO can provide Next Generation Steam Academy students with wonderful programs this year and every year.
