5th - Mrs. Kaur and Ms. Ofman

    Ms. Faith Ofman

My name is Faith Ofman.  I am currently working my 16th year of teaching.  I have taught for Antioch Unified School District and Lammersville Unified School District.  I have had the privilege of teaching 2nd, 2/3 combo, 3rd, and 4th grades.    It will be a pleasure to work at Next Generation STEAM Academy as a 5th grade teacher.

I recently completed my STEM masters with an added math authorization.  The math authorization allows me to teach math as a single subject for grades K-Algebra 1.  In addition, I have the opportunity to be an adjunct professor at Teachers College of San Joaquin. I am honored to have the opportunity to teach math methodology to intern teachers.

Beyond work I am a mom to an amazing young man.  I enjoy reading and working in my yard.  Oh, I can’t forget that I love power tools, and I can't wait to build things with them.

             Hello My Name Is...

Manjeet Kaur

Dear Families,

Welcome to 5th grade!  I am looking forward to working together to help your child succeed!  As parents and guardians, I understand that you are the most important teacher in your child’s life. I would like to take the opportunity to give you a brief overview about myself. I earned my BS in Education from Punjabi University (India) and my Masters in Language arts from Punjab University (India) another Bachelors in Economics from same university. I have been in the education field since 1999. I have taught all grades and have passion for teaching young minds. I am certified in Technology use as well as ESL. I also work for Manteca Adult School in evenings. In addition to teaching I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends.

I will be teaching your child reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I love all of the subjects that I teach but it is especially my goal to instill a lifelong passion of learning in all of my students. I have very high expectations of myself as a teacher as well as of my students and I have always found that to be a formula for success!  I want this to be an enjoyable year for all of my students but also a productive, challenging and encouraging year.

If you have any questions/concerns, would like to visit our classroom, schedule a conference, or volunteer to help out, you can email me at

Once again, welcome to 5th grade!  I know that, together, we can make this a wonderful school year!
