Mrs. Perry 3rd Grade

Mrs. Victoria Perry

Victoria Perry is happy to return as part of the third grade team at Next Generation STEAM Academy. She graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Child and Family Development and received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an emphasis on ELD (English Language Development) at National University. She is also a G.A.T.E (Gifted and Talented Education) certified teacher, and enjoys differentiating instruction across the curriculum.

This is her 12th year in education, and she is still as inspired as her first year. She has had the privilege to teach pre-k, 2nd, and middle school in Southern California. Before coming to NGSA, she taught 4th grade in Dublin, where she volunteered for many school based and district level leadership positions, which earned her Dublin Unified School District’s Employee of the Year Award.

She is a big fan of inquiry based learning, which borrows from the Socratic method of asking and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking. This method leads to innovative ideas and a deeper understanding of topics across the curriculum. Mrs. Perry is delighted that NGSA is giving students the opportunity to engage in real world, hands-on, project based lessons in and outside the classroom.

Mrs. Perry and her family live in Mountain House. Both of her children attend NGSA and really enjoy their new school. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Perry enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with friends and family outdoors, and volunteering with her dog at libraries through the therapy dog organization Paws 4 Friends. She coached cheer and dance for several years after school, and enjoys helping kids rehearse for choral performances.

She looks forward to meeting and collaborating with parents to make this a joyful and successful school year.

Well done is better than well said.
